Since 2003, the Anton Paar Group AG has been owned by the non-profit Santner Private Foundation with an exclusively charitable purpose. The history of the company began in 1922 in Graz (Austria) as a one-man repair workshop with master locksmith Anton Paar. In the mid-1960s, Anton Paar began developing and producing scientific measuring instruments. At the turn of the millennium, the company was already the world market leader in the fields of density and concentration measurement of liquids, measurement of dissolved carbon dioxide in beverages and in rheology. Strong organic growth and strategic acquisitions created a globally active group of companies with a consolidated turnover of 653 million euros in 2024.
