Established in 1992 Apex Drilling Services Limited was formed to deliver mineral exploration within the coalfields of South Wales. Following the demise of coal exploration during the mid 90’s Apex diversified into specialist sectors of the drilling industry including geothermal, water wells, contamination drilling, coal bed methane and ground investigation to name but a few. Currently employing > 50 employees operating 25 rigs nationwide within a variety of disciplines Apex is at the forefront of today’s drilling industry and is the select contractor for the major mining houses, environmental consultants, geotechnical consultants and civil engineering companies throughout the United Kingdom. The drilling fleet is diverse in size, weight and flushing media allowing Apex to adapt to varying site surface and ground conditions with tracked machines possessing the ability to set up on sloping ground. It is the aforementioned diversity that allows Apex to not only be competitive but also realistic on pricing subject to location, superficial deposit type, thickness, borehole depth, diameter and quantity
