Apex is an Australian coal seam gas (CSG) and coal mine gas (CMG) exploration company with a bright future in cleaner energy. Apex is a non-listed Public Company. Apex has Petroleum Exploration Licences and coal operator commercial arrangements encompassing circa 500 square kilometres of NSW in close proximity to major population centres and power reticulation infrastructure. Apex has entered into a farmin arrangement (September 2010) with Ormil Energy Ltd (OMX.AX) to form a joint venture for the exploration and development of its gas tenures. It is expected that exploration drilling under the joint venture will commence in 2011. Ormill will be the operator of the JV. Ormil has also aquired a 20% stake in PEL 454, PEL and PEL 442 through the aquisition of Apex's wholly owned subsidiary Sydney Basin Coal Bed Methane Pty Ltd.
