Apon Foundation

Alor Pothe Nobojatray (APON) Foundation (literally translated as ‘In the journey towards enlightenment’) is a non-profit, government approved, charitable organization dedicated towards enlightening and improving the lives of the economically and socially deprived members of the community. APON (literally translated as ‘warm and friendly’)aims to provide education, health and nutritional support to underprivileged sections of the society and support for income generating activities. In particular, APON seeks to establish an egalitarian society which guarantees basic education, improved health and hygiene to underprivileged children and financial independence and empowerment to their families. APONobtained registration from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) in 2007 and from the Non-Governmental Organization Affairs Bureau Bangladesh (NGOAB) in 2016.
