Founded by Paul Applegate in January of 1984, Applegate & Company, CPAs began serving the Michigan City area community. Paul worked along side his father, John Applegate; together, they grew the company with the experience Paul gained from Crowe Horwath LLP (formerly Crowe Chizek). Since its inception, Applegate & Company has amassed a client base in industries ranging from not-for-profit organizations to manufacturing companies. In 2014, Paul welcomed his children, Blake and Megan Applegate, both CPAs, to the business - enjoying the distinction of three generations of Applegates having worked for the company. Since its existence, Applegate & Company has seen many changes in the accounting profession. However, even with the many changes in the accounting profession, Applegate & Company prides itself on staying at the forefront of these changes while continuing to provide exceptional customer service.
