Applewood Equine Assisted Learning

I'm Mel Pritchard, a certified Equine Assisted Learning practitioner and the founder of Applewood Equine based in Tylden, the Macedon Ranges. Together with my horses, I run successful workshops, after school programs and individual sessions. I work with people of all ages. I offer workshops in team building and leadership for workplace and corporate groups. During which colleagues can work together with the horses, doing activities involving problem solving and challenges, as well as relaxation and awareness exercises with the horses. These sessions can be tailored to explore additional topics, such as expressing and recognising boundaries and sharing feelings. My After School Workshops and Holiday Programs are lots of fun and beneficial for children and young adolescents. These include horse/pony based activities and work with improving relaxation/regulation, awareness, boundaries, expressing feelings and facing challenges. My sessions and workshops are particularly helpful for ASD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, confidence building, self regulation, improving social skills and general life skills. I am an NDIS approved provider and have a current working with children check. My sessions can be covered by the NDIS. I can run sessions during the day, as well as out of school/work hours, and am always open to finding a time that can work best for people to attend.
