Applied Technology & Science (A-T-S) is an engineering and environmental consulting firm in San Francisco focused on water and energy delivery infrastructure, natural resource management, and data sciences/geospatial technology for public, private and non-profit sector clients. Our areas of specialty include: Water Resources, Regulatory Compliance/ Permitting, Construction Management, Water Infrastructure (watershed and reservoir management, water and wastewater treatment), Data Analysis, GIS and Environmental Remote Sensing. Our portfolio of work includes projects and partnerships with public agencies and municipalities, including the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Port of SF, Port of Los Angeles, SF International Airport, San Francisco Department of Public Works, California Air Resources Board, National Academy of Sciences, US Department of Energy, and US Environmental Protection Agency. In 2012, Applied Technology & Science received the Western Council of Construction Engineers Owners’ Project Excellence Award for Innovative Solutions applied to the Design and Construction of the Tesla Water Treatment Plant. In 2011, as part of the City, Construction Management, and Subcontractor team, Applied Technology & Science received The Project of the Year Award from the Construction Management Association of America Northern California Chapter in the $50-$100M Infrastructure category for the construction management of Tesla Water Treatment Facilities.
