APT Solar Solutions is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) incorporated in the state of Michigan in May 2021. APT Solar Solutions is a small business, founded by Dr. Mojtaba Akhavan-Tafti, a faculty member at the University of Michigan (UM) College of Engineering and the inventor of three-dimensional (3D) solar modules, and led by Steve Annear, a seasoned executive with extensive experience leading a variety of enterprises including commercialization of new technologies. The APT team has more than 55 years of product/service R&D and business development expertise and the Company holds a worldwide exclusive and perpetual license to the technology from UM. Additionally, strong partnerships have commenced with Ann Arbor SPARK, Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC), and Centrepolis Accelerator.
