Aptos Core Care Chiropractic is owned and operated by Dr. Buff McCharen and his wife of 28 years, Victoria. Dr. McCharen, who has been a chiropractor since 1985, enjoys working in an intimate, patient focused practice. His goal is to help his patients obtain optimal health and well being which will improve their quality of life. One of Dr. McCharen's specialties is the use of the cold laser. This is an instrument that helps to reduce inflammation and speed healing. The cold laser was originally designed for burn victims to reduce pain and speed healing. Dr. McCharen was one of the first practitioners in Santa Cruz County to use this technology. Dr. McCharen has helped many patients suffering from chronic and acute, back, neck, hip, shoulder and extremity pain as well as treating many health problems such as: Arthritis, Headaches, Fibromyalgia, Meniere's Disease, Allergies, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Also offered at Aptos Core Care is the EBI Detox foot bath. The foot bath helps the body by helping to increase the natural release of toxins. And most important is the fact that Dr. McCharen is known for taking a good deal of time with each patient.
