Aqaqeer App

Aqaqeer is a medication index app. It targets health care professionals and students in the Arab countries. A medical doctor, a pharmacist (both are currently practicing in the USA) and an idea. That is how our company and our first app started. We realized that there is a need in the Arab countries for a top class, yet affordable, truly portable, and reliable medication index. As a result the app was born. Our objective is to participate in improving the quality of medical care in our region by providing reliable, affordable, and readily accessible sources of medical information. Our targeted audience includes health care providers, health care students and will eventually extend to the general public. The app provides drug prescribing and safety information. This information includes indications for use, adult and pediatric dosing, contraindications, side effects, pregnancy and lactation safety. It also provides pharmacology information, including metabolism, excretion and mechanism of action. Although we cannot claim perfection, however this app is an ambitious attempt to provide the Arab health professional with a portable resource for local drug indexes. A key feature of this app is the continuous process of modification and updates. This is why we consider feedback from users to be very important. We hope to make this app the resource of choice that health professionals would use in the clinical setting while providing care to patients.
