Aqualizer

The Aqualizer is a short term temporary device used as an aide to differential diagnosis of occlusally triggered or exacerbated pain and dysfunction. The extent to which pain and dysfunction improve with Aqualizer wear indicates the expected success of Aqualizer guided occlusal correction. Aqualizer bite registration is used to guide either restoration of the bite or creation of a therapeutic splint. The Aqualizer is a tool of discovery and initial pain relief but not the permanent corrective orthotic device for chronic problems.
