How do I say that? Why is the company named "Aquila Analytics." Aquila is the Latin word for Eagle, pronounced ah-KEE-la, or uh-KWEE-la, or the original Latin AWK-will-ah; I normally say it uh-QUILL-uh. It refers to the constellation that has guided mariners for centuries and the standard that led Roman legions into battle. Both invoke the image of a proud and powerful leader. But my inspiration is the man Aquila and his wife Priscilla in the middle of the first century. They ran a family business, and when they had the opportunity to gain a new perspective on their work and on life from the Apostle Paul, they really began to put their talents to work - for a greater purpose. They were leaders, but they did not dictate and demand of others. Instead they were servants first; they listened, they learned, they worked, and then they taught and they led.
