At ARA our core business is personal financial planning. We are independently owned, by staff and a number of public accountants. We have no affiliation with any other financial institution, bank, life office or fund manager. We have developed our own products and services rather than sell for other people. We neither receive, nor pay, commissions connected to those products. We're general practitioners, but do quite a lot of retirement and pre-retirement planning, which usually involves superannuation and pension benefit design. Our investment products are "fund-of-funds", where the pool is distributed between a range of different investments. Being relatively small we can be nimble and active in the management of the funds, but still get access to a range of investment opportunities that aren't widely available to retail investors.
