Araone Hyperloop

Abstract The aim of the project is to design and build a Hyperloop pod to participate in the 2020 Hyperloop competition, which will be the fifth installment of the Hyperloop competition held by SpaceX Company. This project will be operating under the name of “Ara-one team”, which is originally come from Erawan, the elephant god. The team is assembled of students from different universities and different degrees to design and build the pod. The team can be divided into the Engineering section and Promoting and Marketing section. The 2020 Hyperloop competition is a stepping stone to the new pod technologies as the competition rules, and requirements are different from the previous competitions. When the first competition was held in 2015 was based only on the maximum speed of the pod and be able to decelerate without a crash, but this year the pod must be able to propel itself, and the communication system must be considered as they will not be provided. The competition can be divided into two phases: Preliminary design phase and Final design phase. All the initial dimensions and mechanisms of the pod will be determined and presented to SpaceX. A scaled pod prototype will be built to test and collect the data for analysis. Besides, it will be a good opportunity to present the prototype to other investors to rise funding. If the pod has enough potential to move forward to the Final Phase, the pod will be developed further in more details analysis to guarantee the safety and reliability of the pod.
