Archery Pictures is an independent production company founded in 2014 by Kris Thykier, encompassing his successful film company PeaPie Films. A team of creatives, driven by a passion to create bold, original high-end film and television for international audiences. The company is currently in pre-production on the romantic comedy IS THIS THING ON? for Searchlight, directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Will Arnett, and in post-production on an eight-part spy thriller for Paramount+. Thykier recently Executive Produced HIJACK for Apple and LUTHER: THE FALLEN SUN for Netflix, both starring Idris Elba. He also acted as Executive Producer on YOUR CHRISTMAS OR MINE? and its sequel for Amazon. Prior to this, Archery produced two seasons of FATE: THE WINX SAGA, which became a number one series on Netflix and John Madden’s latest film, OPERATION MINCEMEAT, starring Colin Firth, Matthew MacFadyen and Kelly Macdonald, was released in April 2022. In November 2020 Archery Pictures launched Mews Films, a new production label focused on the development of a slate of comedy movies for the domestic UK theatrical market. The venture is a partnership with Danny Perkins’s Elysian Film Group. Archery previously produced three series of RIVIERA for Sky Atlantic, a thriller set against the opulent Cotè d’Azur. Starring Julia Stiles, RIVIERA broke records becoming Sky’s most downloaded box set ever. Other credits include the BAFTA-nominated series THE STATE, a harrowing four-part drama written and directed by award-winner Peter Kosminsky. As a Producer Thykier’s films have amassed over $400 Million at the global box office. They include THE DEBT, KICKASS, STARDUST, WOMAN IN GOLD, BURNT, TRASH and MISS SLOANE.
