Archiloco Studio Associato

ARCHILOCO Studio Associato is a team dedicated to the design of works attentive to sustainability and restoration. Laura Porporato and Silvano Bandolin founded their office in the second half of the 90’s, by catalyzing energies from heterogeneous professional experiences, towards an innovative approach to the design, made of a regardful environmental, economical and social sustainability. The efficiency of this method materialized in the realization of projects which have been appreciated and awarded. The way we interpret architecture as a social task, an object that Must enhance the context where it’s inserted, striving to elevate the quality of the places where we live, to give a substantial contribute to the everyday civil life. For 30 years, we have been developing a great experience in the management and optimization of the environmental and economic resources: the energy efficiency of the envelop, the plants, the whole construction as a system, the use of natural, recyclable, easily disposable materials; the building automation systems and all the equipment concerning the life cycle control characterize the fundaments of our design. In particular, the Studio operated in the field of the public educational construction for children, focusing the attention on the realization of comfortable and didactical spaces, where the properly enhanced technical components encourage the development of a stronger sensibility to the environment, from both teachers and students. In parallel we dealt with restorations and redevelopment of the existing architectural/artistic heritage, the equipment and refunctionalization of abandoned areas (both public and private) until the realization of very specific environments, such as the research laboratories.
