Architend is an architecture, community design, sustainable consulting, and research & development firm. The foundational idea is that both design and nurture are required to create a living future. The express purpose of the firm is to live that future, one that is defined by a healthy, regenerative, inspiring, fulfilling and just human ecology. To this end, the means must be commiserate. Each step of the design, implementation and operation of the manmade environment is taken with respect for the intrinsic value and creative genius of life, from each individual involved to all aspects of the ecology of which we are a part.
