Architronic
archiTRONIC was founded by Ravi Jhupsee in 1994, on the brink of the beginning of a new democracy in South Africa. The practice aims to design and create appropriate built responses to the economic, social, climatic and political contexts unique to Southern Africa, through research, design principles and technical excellence. We believe that architecture should be functional and useful to the user but also aesthetically pleasing to the viewer. The studio has completed over 100 projects ranging from low-budget small scale projects to large high-budget urban development masterplans. The studio’s philosophy is to develop a reputation for excellence in design and delivery through a focused and dedicated team of architects and technicians so our contribution brings measurable and lasting value to the projects we undertake. Each project is carefully researched and analysed within its respective context and every project we produce aims to transform the life of the city and its people.
