These gaps exist before translation, at the very genesis of vocabulary and meaning. ARCHV addresses this upstream challenge by combining community participation, expert validation, and AI-assisted tooling to create structured, market-ready language data for low-resource languages. This includes terminology, definitions, domain-specific vocabulary, and pronunciation data grounded in authentic local usage. Our long-term vision is to ensure that low-resource voices are represented in the systems shaping the future — from AI models to supply chains to public services. With Africa projected to represent 25% of the world’s population by 2050, and with Indigenous and oral-first communities globally requiring equitable access to industry and technology, the need for this infrastructure has never been more urgent.
