Arez International

Arez is a company founded by John O’Mahoney, former Chairman and CEO of Lawter International, and a group of experienced professionals from the ink resin and varnish industry. Alex Nazari, former VP and General Manager Asia Pacific, Inks and Coating Division, Hexion Specialty Chemicals is VP of the Asia Region and is responsible for manufacturing, sales and marketing in the region. Dirk Van Heddegem is Technology Director. John Smith, former VP of sales and Marketing of AKZO Resins and owner of Amsurco, Inc, is VP of the Americas. Rolf Slaghek, formerly Sales and Marketing Manager, Inks and Coatings Business Unit Europe for Arizona Chemical, is VP of Europe, Mid-East, and Africa Region. The company has built a ton capacity resin manufacturing facility in the rosin rich Guangdong Province of China. Using the industry-wide experience of the management team and employing a staff of more than 25 chemists, Arez has developed in a short time frame from a supplier of standard resins to a leader in resin technology. Arez has formed a joint research team with Tianjin Institute of Technology and installed a state of the art ink testing laboratory. Coupled with Tianjin world class analytical capabilities, this team works on the forefront of polymer development for the ink industry.
