Avicenna Research Institute (ARI) was established in 1998 and from the beginning of its establishment, the Deputy of Education has been furthering different goals and programs of the research institute in various fields. With more than sixty full-time faculty members and up-to-date equipment and facilities, this deputy is currently trying to identify existing gaps and educational needs in the field of biotechnology with a great focus on identifying and creating a labor market, empowering human resources, and providing practical training services, so the related problems would be eliminated. In fact, the educational activities of this research institute have not been limited to the country; the inextricable link and exchange of knowledge between professors and scientists overseas and in the country and inviting them to promote the scientific content of educational programs have culminated to establish a dynamic and continuous communication between the scientific community at home and abroad. By attracting international student candidates and providing the possibility of active participation of students and scholars abroad, ARI has been able to achieve a prestigious position in the field of international education. The future prospective of this Deputy is to tap the expertise, experiences, and capabilities of the scientists of ARI and other research and academic centers to expand and improve knowledge and skills in biotechnology and medicine and to boost joint cooperation with educational, research, and treatment centers in the country. Therefore, it would be possible to train specialized and skilled human resources.
