Arise Therapy is a private psychotherapy practice focused on inclusive trauma care. Arise Therapy offers trauma-focused individual, family, and group therapy for adults ages 18 and older. My approach to therapy is integrative and draws on practices from feminist relational work, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and somatic therapies. My goal is to support clients in creating a sense of internal power and to feel valued and connected with others. My practice is passionately Queer-inclusive and aligned with the values of sex-positivity, harm reduction, and anti-oppression. Common concerns of the people I work with include: post-traumatic stress disorder & complex post-traumatic stress, experiences of sexual violence, experiences of spiritual/religious abuse, experiences of trauma in childhood & family of origin, intergenerational and historical trauma, depression and anxiety, questions about sexuality and/or gender, borderline personality disorder, experiences of grief & loss, dissociation, relationship and/or attachment issues, suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, burn-out & secondary trauma.
