Our mission is to protect the public and prevent damage resulting from accidents and/or incidents involving underground utility lines. If you’re a contractor or homeowner that plans to dig, you should contact Arkansas 811 first. We’ll notify our member utilities of your intent to excavate and within two working days, you’ll have markers of where to show caution. Digging safe helps you avoid danger, delays and fines. If your project requires digging of any kind, dial 811 or start a ticket online at AR811.org. Digging safe isn’t just the right thing to do. It’s the law. The Arkansas Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Act (AUFDPA) requires contacting Arkansas 811 before any digging or demolishing work to help prevent damage and protect safety. The AUFDPA was amended in 2023 to include new penalties, mandatory training and enhanced enforcement authority for the Attorney General.
