Art Aparat

Art Aparat gathers people who believe in equality, freedom and solidarity and who use music as a tool to promote these values in the community. The Association was founded in 2015 by artists and music teachers, but today it also gathers the experts in the fields of psychology, youth work and other complementary fields, who jointly work to bring positive change in the society. In our projects music is used as a tool, but development of musical skills is not the most important goal. We use music as a tool for education, psycho-social empowerment and a tool for connecting communities. During the last seven years, with the help of music, we explored the topics of social inclusion and human rights, cultural heritage, environmental topics and other socially engaged topics. Why music? Because almost everyone enjoys music regardless of age and level of education and, hence it can be a great starting point for opening discussion and learning about diversity, interculturality, social inequalities, aging, environmental problems or can be used in other engaging ways.
