Welcome to Art Garden KC! Established in 2021 as a response to the need for community connection after pandemic isolation, Art Garden KC emerged as a small grassroots, artist-led collective dedicated to fostering inclusivity and creativity in Northeast KC. From our modest beginnings, we've expanded, hosting consecutive festivals and pop-up markets in historic Kansas City locales, including Berkley Riverfront, City Market, 18th & Vine District, Crossroads Art District, and West Bottoms. Our mission centers on creating an inclusive space for local creatives and nurturing a supportive community for entrepreneurs. Celebrating a diverse spectrum of artistic specialties—from ceramics, clothing, and printing to photography, woodworking, and beyond—our events honor the unique creative expressions of our local artisans. Each gathering brings communities together to share in the richness of local culture, offering open mic sessions, delicious food trucks, children's activities, yoga, healing arts, and captivating live performances. Art Garden KC operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Troost Market Collective, empowering over 1,500 diverse artists, makers, and innovators from minority and low-income ZIP codes in Kansas City's urban core. We prioritize affordability, ensuring booth fees range from $10 to $50max, a rarity in markets of our scale. Our story is one of resilience, fueled by a dedicated part-time staff, passionate volunteers, and unwavering support from community partners, sponsors, and donors. Together, we've cultivated a thriving artistic ecosystem that continues to flourish, uniting Kansas City's diverse creative community.
