Art History Brewing

Art History Brewing was founded with the idea that brewing is an artistic endeavor whether brewing historic styles or modern, hop-forward ales. Art History has been described as “The Classicists” and on the “Quiet Side of Hype”. The brewing team is committed to brewing traditional, premium-quality German and Czech Lagers, UK-style cask ales as well as easy drinking American styles of beer. The Chicago Tribune included Art History Brewing as one of a handful of breweries at the forefront of Chicago’s lager renaissance. The brewery was also recognized nationally as a “Breakout Brewer” in Craft Beer and Brewing magazine. Art History opened in May 2020 in Geneva, Illinois. In 2023 they added a new production and contract brewery, Geneva Lager Works, and have expanded their market presence and distribution footprint across Chicagoland and Central IL. Art History is honored to brew the House Beers for the Hopleaf Bar in Chicago, one of the most iconic and esteemed craft beer establishments nationally. Hopleaf’s House Czech Dark Lager was selected as an Editor’s Choice Top 10 Beer nationally.(Craft Beer & Brewing magazine). Art History is proud to be one of the 250+ craft breweries within the Chicagoland market.
