Arthouse Houston

Mission Arthouse Houston is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to joyously enriching and preserving Houston’s artistic film community and arthouse spaces. This mission is furthered by improving accessibility to arts and cinema through programming, public outreach, partnerships, and education for the benefit of our vibrant, diverse community. Vision Arthouse Houston works to build and sustain Houston as a thriving cultural hub for arthouse spaces and film for the benefit of all. We shine a light on the world of film, the theatres that show them, and the artists and individuals who make it all possible. Our programming is designed to bridge global understanding of people and culture through the power of art and film. As a community-based nonprofit, we are dedicated to bringing art and film to historical and non-traditional spaces, as well as linking the film industry and film tourism to Houston. Founded in March 2021 as Friends of River Oaks Theatre
