Artis Symphony Orchestra

Artis Symphony Orchestra started its activities in August 2012. Its founder, conductor and arranger is Jean - Claude Hauptmann. Initially, the orchestra performed as a chamber orchestra. The current composition of the orchestra is 50 instrumentalists, six vocalists and two presenters. From the beginning, the orchestra has been made up of people with passion. That passion is, of course, Music. They dedicate their time and come to practice and concerts from Ustroń, Cieszyn, Wisła, Goleszów, Dzięgielów, Jastrzębie, Bielsko-Biała, Łodygowice, Orzesze, Katowice, Kraków and also from the neighbouring Czech Republic. At the beginning of its activities, the orchestra was bound by the words of Jerzy Waldorf:"With music it should be just like with life, both good and bad, both serious and funny." These words will always be valid, just like our music - the serious one but also the cheerful one that brings a smile to your face. Since 2015, the main organiser of the Artis Chamber Orchestra's concerts has been the ARTIS Music Association. The association was established to help develop and promote musical culture in the broadest sense.
