Artistic Jihad

A community arts project seeking to empower, develop and nurture the next generation of artistic talent in the Muslim community. The project has delivered two succesful competitions which attracted over 300 student artists and the support of judges including Ruh Al-Alam, Mohammad Ali, Reedah El-Saie, Soraya Syed, Peter Sanders, Abid Hussain, and put the shortlisted entries in the spotlight in a Central London exhibition and nationwide tour. Many of these unearthed fresh faces have now gone onto exhibit themselves and are well on the way to establishing themseles as emerging artists with a unique British Islamic identity.
