Artsmart

ArtSmart transforms the lives of youth in under-resourced communities across the US through tuition-free music lessons and mentorship by paid, professional artists. Through weekly one-to-one and group music lessons, students develop a meaningful relationship with an adult mentor at school, yielding results far beyond the lesson room. ArtSmart's vision is to open pathways to academic, economic, and emotional stability for all. ArtSmart currently serves predominately Title 1 schools in New York, Newark, Jersey City, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle. It was co-founded by international opera singers Michael Fabiano and John Viscardi in 2016.
