Artspart

Artspart intends to help change the future of “at- risk” youth by creating an environment that encourages them to use their creative energy. In doing so, they can experience success and develop a positive attitude about themselves, their education, their families and community through participation in the arts. Artspart is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to engage at risks youth and first time offenders within the Baltimore City and County juvenile justice systems, in enriching interdisciplinary activities in an afterschool arts program. Artspart believe that the arts can really have an impact on youth. Not only can such a program aide in enhancing young peoples’ attitudes about themselves and their futures, but the program also can increase their academic achievement and decrease delinquent behavior.
