Over the past year, the "ArtUp Nation" team has developed the concept of the ArtUp. What is an ArtUp? In very general terms: an ArtUp is an artist’s startup. Where once it was assumed that one needed an MBA or an engineering degree to start a company, consumer technology paved the way for design-led companies (Airbnb, Uber, and the likes). As the human condition becomes digitized and data-field, this could be the time when artists start their own high-growth companies, on their own critical and artistic terms.
