The name ‘ASEIS’ is not an actual word, but the family members love it because it contains the first letter of all their names. The band’s coordinator Dr Saif Sharif came up with this unique and thoughtful name. ASEIS started it’s journey back in 2019 as a family rock band. But they are also continuing academic research activities under the name ASEIS Research Centre. Dr Saif Sharif and Dr. Rakia Ishra are motivated to continue their research journey while running the rock band with their family members. In ASEIS Rock Band, Dr Saif Sharif gives directions to everyone and he is the one behind the camera. His wife Dr. Rakia is the drummer. Their eldest daughter Eid is the Bass player & vocalist while their second daughter Saarwa is the lead guitarist and their youngest, Aleena, does the rhythm guitar and vocal harmonising.
