There is a cup of tea out there for everyone, whether it's a simple cup of straight tea, or a crafted glass of flavored tea. At Asha, we strive to feed (or cultivate) this love for tea by serving you high-quality tea drinks made with fresh, pure and real ingredients. But we also know that drinking tea isn't just about the drink-it's also about where you drink it and who you drink it with. Which is why we designed every element of our Berkeley tea house, from the open communal table and cozy booth seating to the loyalty program and friendly customer service, to maximize your tea-drinking enjoyment."Asha", after all, is Taiwanese for "someone that enjoys life", and our hope is that drinking Asha Tea will remind you of the things you enjoy about life. Asha Tea House was founded and is operated by David and Diana L. The two were inspired by how Starbucks revolutionized the coffee industry by creating a "third home" for coffee lovers, and envisioned a place like Asha for tea lovers. Asha has been operating as an online store since September 2011, and recently opened a brick-and-mortar storefront in Berkeley, CA in July 2012.
