Asianera's vision is to let fine porcelain artistry and design inspire people's daily lives. To be able to celebrate creativity and uniqueness in the very objects you interact with every day. Fine china shouldn't stay in the china closet. Hand-painting is Asianera's unique specialty, and contributes to our distinctive look and design style. Our artists employ various traditional Chinese brush painting techniques, like the fine detailed gongbi style for a realist look, the loose brushstroke xieyi style for an abstract look, or even a watercolor painting style for a beautifully delicate translucent effect. Each piece is individually hand-painted making it a unique work of art. We like to call it "table art". Asianera is also well-known for designing unique chinaware shapes. As with our pattern designs, our distinctive shapes are deeply influenced by the art, architecture, philosophy and history of traditional Chinese and other Asian cultures. Yet as much as Asianera's style is informed by Asian traditions, it is most certainly not traditional.
