Asme Nit Patna

The Inauguration ceremony of the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Patna was held on 18th April 2013 by Shri Manas Bihari Verma. Hon'ble Chairman, Board of Governors, NIT Patna in the august presence of Prof. Asok De, Director, NIT Patna. The student section thus became the first professional society of its kind to be established at the institute. This student chapter is currently under the strong leadership of Dr. Prakash Chandra as Student Section Advisor and is guided by Honorable Director and HOD Dept. of Mechanical Engg. NIT Patna. ASME Student section NITP has been streamlining all its efforts in a direction of disseminating and in students getting hands-on on the evolving technologies in the Mechanical genre and other interdisciplinary fields through several workshops, events, competitions, industrial visits, and webinars like Fusion Conclave, Workshops on Automobiles, Water Rocketry, Ornithopter, ASME -EFX, Prastuti, WEBI-TEST invoking the responsibility that an engineer vows to this society in terms of combating practical difficulties by applying the acquired knowledge.
