Asme-Vit

Established in 2010, We at ASME-VIT constantly strive to lead and spread the legacy of ASME India and ASME International. ASME-VIT is one of the best Student Chapters of the School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC) in VIT University. ASME VIT is an association which promotes art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences in VIT via education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach. ASME VIT conducts its annual symposium called 'MECHNOVATE' since its inception in 2013 with external participation of more than 1500 students. The ASME-VIT Management Team has an amiable coordination between Board Members, Core Committee Members and volunteers, and with the relentless commitment displayed, ASME VIT has been awarded Outstanding Student Section (Greater than 3 years) in Asia-Pacific 2016. ASME-VIT has two technical teams: Team Veloce and Team Anant. Team Veloce is a team of dedicated students who work upon two major domains: Robotics and RC planes, and participate in various competitions across the country. Team Anant is the official Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) Team of VIT University operating under ASME VIT. They have made VIT University proud by winning various competitions.
