Aspen Hospice of Montana believes that each person's death is sacred and unique. Inspired by the aspen tree - whose leaves reflect the beauty of the individual, and whose roots symbolize connection and community - we view every person as a physical, emotional and spiritual being connected to the world through family, friends and community. We believe the role of hospice is to help the individual and family create opportunities for growth and fulfillment during life's final phase. Life's journey should end with comfort, peace and dignity. We desire this for each and every human being. By working with Aspen Hospice of Montana, our patients have the option to choose to stay in the most comfortable environment for them. Many patients choose to stay at home with family members and friends serving as the primary, hands-on caregivers. However, hospice services are also available to patients living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities The mission of Aspen Hospice of Montana is to provide comfort, care, and choice to patients and their families in the most natural environment possible while guiding them through their end of life journey. We treat the person rather than the illness, focusing on quality rather than length of life. We foster a family-centered approach in making decisions.
