Association Merkuri - Ასოციაცია Მერკური

Merkuri is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2004 in Zugdidi, Georgia. As a women’s association we work on gender issues, fight for women rights and against domestic violence. Our vision is a society free from gender-based violence and grounded on the respect of gender equality as a democratic value. Our mission is helping women discover their potential as active members of civil society, through education and economic empowerment. Merkuri’s active presence in local communities, organisations and institutions makes us one of the main informational and referral points for women affected by domestic violence in the Samegrelo region.
