Aster MIMS Kottakkal was officially inaugurated in October 2009 by his excellency, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Ex-President of India. MIMS Kottakkal is headed by a visionary leader Padmashree Dr. Azad Moopen. It is a 150-bed tertiary-level, super specialty hospital with a keen eye on the economic aspects of healthcare from patients' perspectives. Within a short span of 2 years, we have achieved NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) accreditation for following high-quality standards. At MIMS Kottakkal, we endeavor to provide the most reliable and state–of–the–art technology, backed by well-trained, highly qualified medical professionals who administer premium, yet cost-effective medical services across all broad specialties. All our staff is trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) measures. All staff directly involved in patient care (nurses, emergency medical team, doctors) are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as per American Heart Association (AHA) protocols. We have set up a full-fledged, protocol-driven Emergency Medicine Department which also happens to be the first of its kind in the Malappuram district.
