Astha Nepal

Established in 1996 as the Village Development and Women Awareness Centre (VDWAC), which later transformed into the Association for Social Transformation and Humanitarians Assistance (ASTHA Nepal), this non-governmental organization is dedicated towards socio-economic transformation and the uplift ment of rural communities. ASTHA recognizes the limitations of sole governmental efforts and hence, it focuses on awareness raising, entrepreneurship development, community infrastructure, environmental protection, skill development, and sustainable natural systems. ASTHA serves as a catalyst and service provider for marginalized groups and indigenous communities via mobilization of untapped resources and implementation of community development programs with an aim to enhance rural development.
