AstroMediComp is literally and figuratively an abbreviation of primary areas of work of Dr. Vijay D. Gokhale viz. Astrology-Medicine-Computer. In a way, it is also a tangible form of the person and his journey, full of painstaking experiences and efforts, which he embarked upon on his own and sometimes compelled by the circumstances, nevertheless in an uncompromising manner. During the course, he dexterously assumed various roles; that of a doctor, that of a theatre actor & director, that of a savvy programmer, he finally found his vocation as a teacher, of medicine, of computer, and of all things the life itself, which makes him ‘Guru’ as all of his students profess without hesitation. Amongst other details his journey includes UNIX operating system design, Win32SDK, WinRT, Computer graphics, Real-Time Rendering with OpenGL & DirectX, offline rendering with Apple’s Final Cut Pro & Adobe’s Premiere Pro CS6,Heterogeneous Parallel Computing, and various other technologies, along with vast collection of assets – his books, machines and ever-growing family of his students.
