About Atelier aL: Atelier aL is a design-forward architecture studio based in Oklahoma, founded in 2020 by architect Adam Lanman. The practice is dedicated to creating thoughtful, environmentally responsive buildings that engage deeply with site, culture, and community. From modest infill projects to public interest work and civic spaces, the studio focuses on high-impact architecture rooted in context, clarity, and long-term value. Design Ethos: Our work is grounded in ecological thinking, material restraint, and a disciplined sensitivity to climate and place. We combine rigorous design processes with old-school methods—physical models, hand sketching, and drawing as tools for discovery and refinement. We begin each project with a deep listening process to understand client goals, site forces, and programmatic potential. Through this dialogue, we pursue solutions that are functional, responsive, and filled with intention.
