Athens Happy Train

Athens Happy Train is a business unit of the family-company "Alianthos", founded by Josef Vardakis in Plakias, Crete at 1980 and focuses on tourist services. The Happy Train, a toy-like train making sightseeing tours, was an briliant idea of Josef's son Nikos, who is interested in alternative tourist business activities. The Happy Train made its first steps in the superb area of Plakias in 1998, making amazing tours through the beautiful beaches, the countryside and the traditional villages of the area. These tours were very popular to all guests of the tourist area and especially children. This unexpected success of the train, led us to develop a similar tourist service in Athens. Since 2007, our Happy Trains offer amazing sightseeing tours in one of the unique sights in the world and universal symbols of the classical spirit and civilization: the historical center of Athens, the ancient monuments and masterpieces as well as the hill of Acropolis with the Parthenon.
