Athletic Haven

Athletic Haven is a non-profit organization serving youth athletes in New York State’s Capital Region. We create opportunities for no-cost youth sports travel teams and open gyms, as well as training, camps and clinics for those who may struggle financially to participate. Athletic Haven is a volunteer-based non-profit organization, founded in 2016 by area coach Scott McIntyre, committed to leveling the playing field in youth sports. Through its Awareness Athletics program, Athletic Haven provides opportunities for youth athletes to participate in area travel teams. In exchange, participants are expected to pay-it-forward and raise funds for local charities. Athletic Haven has also established the tsm Fund and grants scholarships annually to athletes who display outstanding sportsmanship in memory of McIntyre’s son, Tyler, who passed away in 2012.
