Athokpam Ink was established in 2013. It was founded by Mocha Athokpam who is a seasoned and skilled tattoo artist with more than 7 years of experience. He has been a passionate learner in art like drawing, painting and crafting since childhood. He pursued Multimedia during college and has worked on numerous designs and paintings, both digital and non-digital. It was in 2011 when he moved to Germany for further studies that he got the idea of tattooing. There he wanted to get a portrait of his then girlfriend, now wife, inked on himself, but €500 for the tattoo was exorbitant for him. He bought a tattoo machine instead believing he can become a tattoo artist. He is a self trained artist who believes in the saying Never stop learning, stay relevant, reinvent yourself and thrive. His initial tattoos were inked on his brother, mother and close friends before he became a fully fledged professional tattoo artist with a surge in customer count.
