The Athona Group has been raising recruitment to an artform since 2003 and specialises in providing recruitment and workforce solutions. Established first was our healthcare team, initially with a focus on locum doctor’s. Since then we have grown exceptionally and now cover the acute doctors, psychiatry, nursing and AHP/HSS markets, providing temporary, contract and permanent members of staff across the UK. Our education team begun back in 2007 and is more regional, mainly covering East London, Essex and Suffolk. Their focus is primarily on supply teachers, but they also support educational establishments with long-term contract and permanent members of staff. At Athona Group we pride ourselves on understanding each sector we work in and ensuring our expertise and industry knowledge underpins everything we do. That’s why in May 2022 ‘The Art of Recruitment’ was launched, our ethos that we wholeheartedly believe that recruitment takes the same level of care and attention as an artist would spend perfecting their craft. We believe there truly is an art to being a good recruiter and we bring that to life every day for our candidates, clients and employees. Our home-grown success stories and the fact over 45% of our employees have been with Athona for over 5 years are testament to the great culture we have developed. In 2022 we were recognised again as the Recruiter’s ‘Fast 50’, a testament to our ambitious and driven employees. For our candidates and clients, as demand has grown, so has our reputation within the NHS and private sectors and across the education market. Today, we’re proudly on all major NHS frameworks and have achieved the REC quality mark status in education since our inception.
