We are headquartered in the Cayman Islands and licensed by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. We have extensive hands-on experience in financial markets with backgrounds in investment management, multi-jurisdictional law, corporate governance, risk management, hedge fund seeding and capital raising. Our expertise in legal, regulatory and corporate governance issues enables our clients to adhere to industry best practices. Our backgrounds in investment management, law, administration and regulation combined with our Cayman domicile can add significant “substance” to any Cayman management company or fund. We have a great deal of experience in seeding and setting up new hedge fund management companies. We can act as a sounding board on fund structuring, selection of service providers, marketing strategy, due diligence and sources of early stage capital. Institutional investors increasingly expect to be able to speak to directors both before and after investing. We are comfortable speaking to investors on a granular level about portfolio and investment strategy. We have direct experience, from a manager’s perspective, of handling gates, NAV suspensions and distressed funds. We have a wide-ranging network of contacts across the industry enabling us to stay abreast of trends and regulation. We take on a limited number of relationships to ensure we always have sufficient capacity in the event of a crisis. We take a pro-active approach and work as a team.
