Atlantic Surgical Group

Atlantic Surgical Group (ASG) is a multi-specialty surgical group make up of general surgeons, colorectal surgeons, and a hepatobiliary and pancreas surgeon. The practice was formed in 1988. Dr Gornish joined Drs Averbach and Schwartz in 1992. ASG added colon and rectal expertise when Drs. Parker and Lake joined the group in 1994 and 2002. Dr. Pichardo is fellowship trained in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreas surgery and added her skills to the group in 2017. Atlantic Surgical Group is one of the premier surgical groups in Monmouth and Ocean counties, servicing Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center as well as Central Jersey Surgery Center and Toms River Surgicenter. Our two offices are located in Oakhurst, and Brick, NJ. To make an appointment, please contact our office (732-531-5445). Appointments can usually be scheduled within one week and emergencies are seen within hours either in the office or in the hospital emergency rooms. Our large, well-trained staff is noted for their courtesy and efficiency. We also have a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician’s Assistant to help expedite patient care.
