ATOL is a Belgian international multi-disciplinary and collaborative architecture design practice, headquartered in Shanghai, China. With the creation of an Integrated Mixed-Use Design (IMUD) unit as a core component of its Shanghai design team, ATOL has positioned itself to tackle and create the most exciting small, medium and large scale integrated mixed-use design projects. Programmatic components, whether office, residential, retail, F&B or public and cultural uses are carefully integrated to mutually reinforce each other and maximize both the project efficiency and the quality of the public realm by creating true design landmarks of the future. ATOL is developing the way in sustainability through the implementation of urban ecosystems and CFD computer modeled, energy optimized mixed-use building structures in which a wide number of sustainability parameters are taken into consideration amongst which cultural and programmatic integration in density efficient urban development, waste and gray water management with natural green filtering systems inclusion, environmental comfort and daylight level optimization, and a comprehensive approach to creating urban ecosystems.
